Jessie talks about how she hooked up with Yelawolf
Jessie Malakouti of Jessie and the Toy Boys is certainly a colorful character, and her pop music and accompanying videos certainly reflect her incredibly visual nature. In this exclusive video chat with ARTISTdirect.com, Jessie spoke about how she likes to write pop songs that slap you in the face with their melodies and how she likes to juxtapose those with songs that make you think. She is the thinking person's pop diva!
Jessie also reveals she is a big fan of art, pop art and cartoons, and told us how she loves handling all the art direction for her band.
She also talks about her single "Push It" featuring YelaWolf, which is true-to-form colorful and features her dancing in a laundry facility. She also talks about how she hooked up with YelaWolf via Twitter, met him at a show, where they stole a few moments in her car and headed right to the studio to collaborate and a song (and party) was born. Watch it now! (artistdirect.com)
